International Airport

An airport sells services to audiences with nothing in common: a passenger booking parking the night before, a business traveller buying lounge access, a local resident coming to shop. Each offer has its own cycle, price and logistics.

Project Website and online service salesSector E-commerce & Marketplaces · Retail & Commerce

Context

Services were sold separately, each with its own channel and sometimes its own provider. A passenger wanting to book parking and lounge access made two purchases, on two interfaces, with two confirmations. Nothing linked those purchases to the same person, and the airport did not know a single client consumed several of its services. Shops, for their part, held their own stock unlinked to online sales: an ordered product might have sold in the terminal that morning.

Challenge

Gathering heterogeneous offers into a single journey without standardising them: parking is booked by the minute, lounge access by the date, a shop order is collected on site before a flight. The three share neither constraints nor lead times, and an availability error makes someone miss a plane.

Objectives

  • Deliver a site addressing the airport’s distinct audiences.
  • Open decoupled sales platforms for parking, lounges, services and shops.
  • Bring several purchases into one journey and one client account.
  • Reflect actual shop stock in online sales.
  • Preserve the lead-time constraints specific to each service type.

Several offers, several audiences, one purchase journey. A client consuming several services is recognised as such, and shop stock and online sales say the same thing.
