PrestaShop and Magento, deployed, configured and extended for your business
Two open selling platforms that you remain free to administer yourself. We deploy them, configure them around your business and bring them in line with the law that applies to you.
What these platforms cover as standard
Compliance, where you operate
The platform is the same whatever the country. What changes is the configuration: chart of accounts, tax rates, exchange formats, transmission obligations. We set out France and Switzerland below because they are the two our clients meet most often. For another country the principle does not change: we start from what local law requires, and configure accordingly.
France
The shop produces invoices; it does not transmit them. Transmission to the tax authority goes through an approved platform, and neither of these platforms ships with one. We build that connection and configure the output format. We claim no accreditation, neither for ourselves nor for the publishers.
Switzerland
No Swiss payment format ships with these platforms: no QR-bill, no QR-IBAN, no structured reference. We set them up with your rates and your templates, so your invoices read correctly at Swiss banks and incoming payments reconcile on their own.
Each country you operate in is handled on its own terms, with its own rules and formats. You still deal with one person, however many of them there are.
How we work
Integration in practice
We start from your real catalogue — the variants, the pricing rules, the delivery particulars — before configuring anything. We carry the order and account history across rather than starting from nothing, then set tax, zones, payment methods and document templates around your habits.
Where the standard stops, we build. When the weight of extensions slows the shopfront, we separate display from the selling engine, which is the subject of our decoupled commerce platforms. When the catalogue grows too wide to browse, we rework indexing and filtering. Where several stock points coexist, we arbitrate the dispatch point through order orchestration. E-invoicing is covered in detail on our page on electronic invoicing.
How we build is set out on Custom Development, and how we look after what we deliver on Support & maintenance.
The modules we have built around the core
The standard covers a great deal. It stops at a few specific points: those are the ones we build.
Company accounts and B2B ordering
Accounts tied to a company, purchasing roles, negotiated quotes and requisition lists are not in the open Magento platform: they belong to the commercial edition. Nothing equivalent ships with PrestaShop.
Distributor Portal & Order ManagementLoyalty and store credit
Neither a points balance nor a credit usable at checkout: the open Magento platform carries neither, and no loyalty module ships with PrestaShop.
Customer Accounts & LoyaltyHosting third-party sellers
The module called Marketplace in the Magento platform lists the publisher’s partners in the admin; it hosts no seller at all. Selling on behalf of others calls for a shared catalogue, split payments and per-seller reporting.
MarketplacesSegmentation and targeted offers
Price rules apply to the catalogue and the basket, never to a customer segment: the open Magento platform carries no segments, no targeted rules and no conditional banners.
Promotional Rule EnginesTaking payment in store
Neither platform ships a till: the shop and the store keep two stock records and two customer histories until they are joined up.
POS CommerceYour shop after launch
An online shop is a permanent target. PrestaShop and Magento publish security patches that need applying quickly, your payment and shipping modules follow their own calendars, and a traffic spike gives no warning.
We follow security releases and apply them, we test the shop ahead of your busy periods, and we keep watch on the modules that touch payment. BUILD opens the shop; RUN keeps it open.
