Geneva Five-Star Hotel

A Geneva luxury establishment lives on an international clientele booking directly as much as through platforms. Every direct booking is worth more than a saved commission: it is a relationship beginning without an intermediary.

Project Corporate websiteSector Hospitality & Catering

Context

The site was the first contact with the house, and often the only one before arrival. It therefore had to carry two things hard to hold together: the image of an establishment whose value lies in detail, and direct booking simple enough to compete with platforms. A site too refined discourages booking; one too functional says nothing of the house. And every platform booking cost a commission as much as a relationship: the hotel knew of its guest only what the intermediary chose to pass on.

Challenge

Making image and conversion coexist on one medium: platforms win on simplicity, the hotel wins on what it is — and the site must deliver both without sacrificing either. Displayed availability must also match the actual room plan, or a direct booking becomes a front-desk incident.

Objectives

  • Carry the establishment’s image without visual compromise.
  • Deliver a direct booking engine as simple as a platform’s.
  • Synchronise displayed availability with the room plan.
  • Address an international clientele in its own language.
  • Make the site the first contact with the house, not a brochure.

Direct booking and the establishment’s image sit on one medium, without either undermining the other. Displayed availability matches the actual plan, and every direct booking gives the hotel the relationship the intermediary withheld.
