Project Website, CRM and online salesSector Luxury & Watchmaking
Context
Standard tools were badly suited to this scale. They assumed volumes it did not have and ignored the closeness it did: a series of a few dozen pieces was handled like mass-retail stock, and a collector followed for fifteen years like an anonymous account. Every useful function required a workaround, and every workaround became an unwritten rule only one person knew. Allocation requests were handled from memory, with no record of what had been promised to whom.
Challenge
Fitting limited-series management into an e-commerce tool without subverting it: a unique piece, a series of thirty and a catalogue model are not managed the same way, and the brand sells all three. Scarcity is a commercial argument that a stock display destroys in one second.
Objectives
- Deliver a site at the house’s scale, without functional overload.
- Manage piece allocations and limited series as such.
- Follow collectors over a long relationship, with their history.
- Open online sales without displaying scarcity as shortage.
- Replace unwritten rules with explicit configuration.
The tool follows the house’s identity rather than the reverse, and limited series are managed as such. An allocation request retains its record, and what lived in one person’s memory now lives in the system.
