Private Executive Community

A closed executive community is not built like an open social network. Its members know each other, refer each other, and their first requirement is not visibility but the opposite: knowing precisely who sees what.

Context

Exchanges between members lived in private messaging and physical meetings, with no viewable record and no reliable directory. A member looking for a peer on a specific subject had no way to find them except by asking a third party. And every existing platform assumed an openness model incompatible with this audience’s expectation of discretion: public profiles by default, connection suggestions, search engine indexing. Each of these mechanisms, unremarkable elsewhere, was disqualifying here.

Challenge

Building a platform where confidentiality is the primary function rather than a setting: compartmentalisation added afterwards always leaves a path open, and a single incident destroys the purpose of a closed circle. Moderation also had to remain invisible to members without losing internal traceability.

Objectives

  • Design profiles and directory with visibility adjustable field by field.
  • Carry exchanges and reserved content in a strictly closed space.
  • Equip moderation without exposing decisions to the members concerned.
  • Make compartmentalisation a structural property, not a parameter.
  • Prevent all indexing of the platform by search engines.

Access is closed, each profile field carries its own visibility, and member confidentiality governed the technical choices rather than being added afterwards. A member finds a peer through the directory without a third party.
